DESCRIPTION:For our August meeting\, Maryland and Virginia Allies will visi
	t the MLK Library to tour the District Vibes/American Pride and Diasporaci
	ty exhibits recognizing the role of DC in shaping the country\, and of div
	erse communities in shaping DC. Also on display are exhibits exploring Hom
	e Rule\, Civil Rights\, and the legacy of Mayor Marion Barry. After enjoyi
	ng the exhibits\, we’ll meet in a library conference room for zine folding
	 and a (brief) overview of our work in the months ahead. Family and friend
	s are very welcome\, as are DC residents. MLK Library is a one-minute walk
	 from Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro. Did you know? Residents of neighborin
	g counties are eligible for a DC library card. If you apply online\, you’l
	l be able to pick up your permanent card when you visit New to Free DC? We
